COVID-19 Hours and Updates

An update for our friends in the cycling community:It's been a difficult month for everyone around the world. However it’s amazing to see the whole country rally behind ‘flattening the curve’ and embrace social distancing and improved sanitation measures while still supporting each other. It’s been impressive to see the adaptations in our community. From local breweries offering delivery or focusing on making hand sanitizer, or to local restaurants switching to take out and offering meal kits. Penticton hasn't lost its sense of community and we're proud to be part of it. Here at The Bike Barn, for the time being, our doors will remain locked. However, we are still here and available for sales, service, and repair. We are offering curbside pick-up and drop-off. We've even added a drive thru option along with payment over the phone or via etransfer for an absolutely contactless transaction.With these changes there are some added safety measures that we have put in place:Repairs are by appointment only and all bikes are sanitized before and after service.You can book an appointment by calling us at 250 492 4140 or by emailing info@bikebarn.ca.
We will also only be allowing one customer or a customer group (ie a family group) in at a time. Unfortunately you won't be able to try on clothing, shoes, or helmets. We have also stopped accepting cash for the time being and will only be accepting Visa, MasterCard, debit, and etransfer. We are sanitizing our merchant terminals after every use.
Unfortunately our website isn't the most comprehensive so our inventory isn't up for people to peruse online, but we're here Monday to Friday from 9am to 5pm to answer any questions you might have.
Penticton has supported us for 49 years and right now we want to support Penticton.
Being there for each other right now means being a little bit farther away and we all need to do our part. We look forward to the day when The Bike Barn can go back to being a social hub. We look forward to the day we can start up our group rides. We look forward to the day that we can open our door and have the energy of a busy store again. But right now we’re just happy to talk to you on the phone. Give us a call.

Reopening...Kinda
In an attempt to help service our local community, while at the same time avoiding adding to the spread of COVID-19 we have decided to reopen on a very limited basis. We will be taking appointments for service via email. We will provide detailed instructions on the drop off and pick up procedures in our email response with your appointment time. If you have specific sales requests we will deal with those on a case by case basis. We really appreciate everyone’s understanding during this unprecedented time. Please email info@bikebarn.ca
